Canary Blenny (Meiacanthus atrodorsalis) is blue-gray on the head and anterior part of the body and yellow on the rear of the body and tail. It also has black markings over the eyes.
The Canary Blenny as with most all Blennies exhibit great personality in the aquarium. Its size makes it perfect for large and for small aquariums. Canary Blennies do best one per aquarium, unless a great deal of space and Live Rock is provided. The Canary Blenny displays little if any aggression toward other fish, corals, or invertebrates. It is considered to be venomous by some and simply painful by others. Regardless, fingers should be kept clear, as they may be attacked. The diet of the Canary Blenny should consist of finely chopped crustacean flesh, mysis and vitamin-enriched brine shrimp as well as frozen herbivore preparations. Also known as: Yellow Canary Blenny, Green Canary Blenny, Fiji Canary Blenny, Yellow Forktail
