The Dragon Goby (Amblygobius phalaena) body is lighter and darker brown bands edged in a bright blue. Its head and front body area has striking blue spots and striped markings. One of the larger Gobies The Dragon Goby it is a bottom dweller and a sand sifter requiring a sandy substrate, they will sift sand in search of small benthic creatures and other foods. Provide plenty of little caves and live rock for them to hide in. They tend to live longer if kept pairs, if kept single these animals tend not to live long. They are Safe to house with other peaceful fish, inverts and corals, however they may bury some corals while digging around in sand. Like other members of the Goby family, this fish is a leaper and requires a tightly covered aquarium. The Dragon Goby (Amblygobius phalaena) Will adapt to frozen foods including copepods, brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, plankton, worms and other finely chopped meaty foods. Also known as: Brown Goby, Pennant Glider, Harbor Goby, Pistol Goby, Phalaena Goby.
