In the wild, Fridmani Pseudochromis, Pseudochromis fridmani, are found living in several reefs of the Red Sea. Also known as the Orchid Dottyback, these striking beauties are agile swimmers making them a highly popular aquarium fish. Usually found in the passages between corals, they rarely venture into the open areas of the ocean. Typically peaceful with other species, they may be somewhat assertive amongst their own species. If given adequate room, more than one Fridmani may be kept in the same aquarium, although it is recommended to introduce them at the same time. They are also revered for their ability to hunt and consume bristleworms. Pseudochromis love a meal of frozen or live brine or mysid shrimp.
