Orbiculate Batfish (Platax orbicularis) is often found eating a mix of algae, Jellyfish and small animals. Batfish are well known for their unique shape, being taller than they are long. This creates a special requirement for housing these fish. As they grow taller they will require a "tall" aquarium with plenty of open space to swim around. keep with non agressive tankmates.
A varied diet of meaty foods such as shrimp, scallops, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, and frozen herbivore preparations will help the Orbiculate to thrive, especially when fed three times per day.
