Tongue Coral Green (Herpolita Limax) is one of the easier hard corals to maintain. The Tongue or slipper Coral is long and narrow, flat but usually with a slight arch. It is related to the Fungia and Plate Coral, they require high light and medium water movement, they should be placed on the sand bottom of your aquarium, and not on rocks as they can damage there tissue. The Tongue Coral will benefit with the addition of calcium, strontium, and other trace elements, along with the addition of phytoplankton, zooplankton, cycop-eeze or brine shrimp fed weekly. The Herpolita Limax coral comes in brown, cream and green color. Also known as: Polyphyllia talpina, Mole, Hairy Tongue Coral.
